SpeedVille—probably the best-known road cycling blog in the German-speaking world—is back on tour in the heart of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. This year, alongside many awesome cyclists, our new Gamswild Eyewear sports series launches are part of the trip.
While riders get into top shape at the one-week bike camp for the upcoming season, Daniel and his coaching team put our new cycling sunglasses through a real-world test—no shortcuts.
For many years, the preparations traditionally kick off in March on this dream island. The camp runs until March 18. Daily rides are split into two performance groups: the “hobby group” or, for more ambitious riders, the speed group.
The routes regularly lead into the Tramuntana mountains and out to Formentor, the northernmost point of the island. And just like in space travel, in business, politics, or the stock market: going down is always faster than going up. 🙂
Due to poor weather conditions in the second week of camp, those areas were unfortunately closed. But we’re confident we’ll be able to climb some altitude with you again next week. That also meant there was a bit more time to build base fitness on flatter or rolling terrain.
You can find more info about the tours and our road cycling coaching program on our road cycling blog and on Instagram.
